Fifth Francophone Days on Ontologies (JFO)

November, 14 – 16, 2014 Hammamet,Tunisia.
Club Hotel Riu Marco Polo 4* - All Inclusive

Objectives:

The contribution ofontologies for understanding, sharing and integration of information is demonstrated. Indeed, research and practicein this area are beginning to bear fruit, especially for the Semantic Web. However, several issues remain open and others appear: design methods for ontologies, representation and reasoningon ontologies, ontologies automatic generation, ontology evolution and alignment, data representation and persistence based on ontologies, systems integration with ontological base, databases design accessible from ontologies, fuzzy ontologies, etc..

Aimed at promoting the work dealing with issues mentioned, Francophone Days on Ontologies (JFO) are intended as ameeting place and exchange between researchers, manufacturers and users of various fields such as, knowledge engineering, artificial intelligence, information systems , databases, automatic language processing, etc.. The JFO’s incorporated community following the first four editions, 2007 in Sousse, 2008 in Lyon, 2009 in Poitiers and 2011in Montreal,is invited to strength enduring the fifth day, scheduled for November 2014 in Hammamet, Tunisia.

We then appeal to all researchers working on the design or use of ontologies to present their work and to point sets on new topics, scientific advances, innovative applications and the lessons learned in different areas. We especially encourage PhD students involved in these issues to participate in this event. Moreover, the JFO 2014 edition will include tutorials for presenting the foundations of ontologies but also their recent advances.
